The Green Banded Goby is active during the day poking in and out of structured rock work in the tank. They should be kept in tanks with plenty of rockwork allowing them to explore and hide. If housed with more aggressive fish, the Green Banded Goby should be introduced to the tank first allowing it to find its natural home within the tank. They can be housed with members of their own species as long as there are three or more in the group. The Green Banded Goby has often been known to spawn in home aquariums laying their eggs in cracks in the rockwork or even empty shells.
