The Splendid Pintail Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus isosceles) is a small, colorful wrasse found among the Indo-Pacific Ocean. Their colors can vary greatly, though the majority have an orange or pink body, blue stripes, and orange fins. They hide among local reefs and rocky quarries where they search for invertebrates, such as small crustaceans and polychaete worms. They reach a maximum size of 3 inches, and are best if kept with fish of similar size and temperament. They may be kept singly or in a bonded pair, though it is not recommended to have two of the same species and gender, as males may be aggressive towards one another. They should be fed a variety of carnivorous preparations, such as krill or mysis shrimp.
