The Pom Pom Crab (Lybia edmondsoni),is a small and captivating species armed with anemones. Originating from East Africa, these attractive crabs boast a carapace width of approximately 1/2" and a leg span of 1 inch. They are reef safe as they will not harm corals or other inverts and tend to be rather shy. They carry small anemones on their claws in a symbiotic relationship, using them to catch food and defend themselves. Make sure not to keep them with large fish as they could get eaten by them. Keep them in a minimum size tank of 10 gallons and feed them a variety of meaty sea foods such as brine shrimp, mysis shrimp, and coral foods.
