The shrimp provide a home used by both the shrimp and Goby, while the Goby acts as a lookout for predators. Shrimp Gobies are hardy and make great additions to a reef aquarium. Amblyeleotris Gobies should be added to aquariums with a deep sand bed for burrowing. Ample rockwork for grazing and hiding should be provided along with a diet of marine meaty foods multiple times daily. Shrimp Gobies will also scavenge through the sand for food. Gobies are good jumpers be sure to provide an aquarium with a tight fitting lid.
Orange Stripe Shrimp Goby are also sometimes known simply as the Randall's Prawn Goby. Commonly seen in the aquarium trade. The Orange Stripe Shrimp Goby has a white body with thin orange bands around its body and black spot on its dorsal. Orange Stripe Shrimp Goby can grow to a little over 5".
