Valenciennea bella. The Bella Goby, comes from the Indo-Pacific region. They have a reddish body with a yellow head and two neon blue horizontal blue stripes below the eyes. These gobies are sand-sifting carnivores and require a diet rich in meaty foods, such as mysis and brine shrimp and other types of fresh or frozen chopped seafood.
Bella Gobies require an aquarium of 30 gallons or larger with plenty of live rock for hiding and a deep sand bed. They are known to jump and will leap out of tanks without a lid. They are peaceful fish and should not be kept with aggressive fish. They are reef safe and will not bother corals, fish, but may eat tiny invertebrates.
