The Eight Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus octotaenia), also known as the Eight Stripe Wrasse, can be found among the reefs of the Indo-Pacific Ocean. They have a pink or orange body with eight horizontal red stripes running the length of their body. They are aggressive and are not suitable for community or peaceful tanks. They do best in predator or fish only tanks with fish of similar size and temperament. They reach a maximum size of 5 inches and do well if kept singly or in a bonded pair. They should be monitored around prized crustaceans.
