Heteractis Anemone should be added to well established aquariums with plenty of lighting a thick sandy, muddy or rubble bottom in which to bury its foot. Anemones are capable of movement using their foot to the best suitable place in the aquarium. Heteractis Anemones usually host A. clarkii, A. chrysogaster, A. chrysopterus, A. perideraion, A. percula, A. leucokranos, A. omanenisi, A. melonopus, A. nigripes, A. akallopisos, A. ocellaris, A. akindynos, and A. bicinctus. Provide a diet rich in small pieces of hand fed meaty foods it will also require high lighting to feed the symbiotic zooxanthellae algae within its body known as photosynthesis.
