Simplicity skimmers combine power, precision, and control at an affordable price point. At the heart of each skimmer is a controllable DC-powered pump with a needle-wheel impeller, capable of pulling in more air and chopping up finer microbubbles than expensive competitor models. The bubbles then rise up through the skimmer's hybrid cone body, allowing for longer contact time with proteins and creating a more concentrated foam for efficient cleaning. The skimmate foam eventually make its way to the bayonet locking collection cup at the top of the skimmer, which features a built-in drain to prevent overflows.
Both the air intake and the skimmer pump can be controlled, allowing for a more dialed-in performance to suit your unique system. A controller is included for easy management of pump speed and Feed Mode. Its digital readout will also display the current speed and power consumption.
The entire skimmer body is constructed from high-quality cast acrylic and assembled with thumbscrews, making it exceptionally simple to assemble, dissasemble, and clean.
